I run with the pseudonym Turnstile Eyes the origin of which began with the idea that veils of perception run our sense of "reality". What doors must turn until we reach the end of our journey. The way in which a child sees and the way in which a mentally "altered" person might assume the world to be is not considered a viable perspective, at most times. They may be hailed geniuses in rare instances yet the significance of these pseudo coronations is heavily dependent on the validation of an institution. I have become more curious and critical of this bureaucratic system of rhetoric. As have artist's whom I consider my peers in the struggle of expression. Duchamp's fountain, Cubists, Da Da-ism, surrealists, Found Art, revolutionary movements and race and gender driven expressions which beg the viewer to wake up and dream. Yes, dream. Rethink, reconsider and turn yet another door of the veil of human existence. Sometimes you must create to see, sometimes you must hurt to see, but most of the time you must close your eyes and love to see most lucidly.
God is an eternal figure in my art and from which I derive the ideas of a multi-textured notion that we are all segments of eyes of a complete structure harmonious and perfect in every way. The eyes of God hold a greater facility to create because they are flawed and in knowing this strive and are not and should not refrain from the act of artistic expression and perfection. God is my context, not religion, which has become a commercial avenue of human disappointment and atrocities. My hypersensitivity to the human experience is my eyes. It is the turnstile eyes, which propel me to feel, live, create and express myself.
A sense of consumption of "necessary" accesses has become the common misconception being a separation of people, places, time, and existence. A commercialization of the mind being the defining impetus of dystopian thought, non-thought and rhetoric, has deflected many wishing for maturation of vision.
